Penn Fathom II Star Drag Multiplier Reel
The Penn Fathom 2 has had a full cosmetic makeover, uprated internals and a casting special edition added to the range, PENN listened to their fishing community and have addressed all the minor issues with the old Fathom.
The new generation PENN Fathom II reels keep the original Fathoms toughness and robustness thanks to its complete rigid metal frame and side plates which ensures durability and increases strength, allowing this workhorse of a reel to tackle the toughest of conditions. The new live spindle free-floating spool also improves casting performance. The fast gear access side plate feature will allow anglers to maintain their reels easily and the HT-100 drag system provides and unrivalled saltwater drag system. Additionally, the newly implemented magnetic brake system on the 12 and 15 models will allow you to dial your reel in to increase casting distance and to compensate for varying weather conditions.
The new PENN Fathom 2 also comes with 6 shielded stainless steel ball-bearing system which provides ultimate smoothness and the instant anti-reverse system prevents the rotor from moving backwards instantaneously ensuring solid hooksets.
The 15 SD CS model stands for casting special. This specific model has added line capacity to the spool and is designed to hold 15% more line than the standard 15 model. There is also a knobby magnetic adjustment that adjusts the brakes for casting control and the live spindle free-floating spool includes a housed pair of high-performance bearings that help tune the reel for increased casting distance.
The Penn Fathom II Star Drag Reel has a stunning black and gold contrasting colour design and is available in various models for you to choose from. The Casting Special comes in a stealthy black finish.
