This weekend saw the Pollack leg of our Summer Species Hunt. Fishing began at 7pm on Friday and finished at 7pm today.
For a change conditions were kind, allowing anglers to get onto thier favourite rough ground marks to target this hard fighting fish.
While there were plenty of pollack caught, most where in the 30 to 40cm range, however six anglers broke the 50cm mark with Stephen Hodge having a 66cm fish and Paul Hill catching a donkey of 72cm.
Top rods over the weekend where
1st Paul Hill 72cm
2nd Stephen Hodge 66cm
3rd William Cairns 51cm
3rd Gareth Bell 51cm
4th Andrew Ryder 50cm
4th Drew Ferguson 50cm
Our next leg is a double header where conger eel and three bearded rockling will be the targets.
