Always a good angling report from federation member Al Marsden

Well the fishing over the last few months has been a bit patchy at best. Until recently the shore fishing had been better than the boat fishing and the mackerel have been on the AWOL list

But a 2 day boat trip in donegal at the weekend put things back in order

Bot myself and Sean Skull Feeney fished as guests with the Royal Oak sea angling club and had a great weekend away staying in the fisherman's cottages run by the skippers wife. The fishing was on power with the banter and I won the big fish pool cash prize on both days

As always our skipper Michael mcveigh had his boat Rossguill over the fish on both days and my freezer is now respectably restocked with plenty of prime eating fish for the coming months. Loads of pollock, ling and gurnard meals to be had in days to come
