The final match in the NIFSA boat league for 2018 was fished last Saturday on the Lady Lynda skippered by Sean Mc Kay from Ballycastle. This years league was to be decided between 2 angler on the same points going into the last match. A quality days fishing was had with a variety of species being caught from clean and rough ground marks as Sean worked tirelessly as usual to find his anglers fish. Dogfish and dabs made up the majority of the catch on the clean ground with Pollack and wrasse being the main catch on the rough marks. After a hard fought match David Mc Cormick eventually came away with the win on the day and to be crowned the NIFSA boat league champion for 2018. A huge thanks to skippers Sean Mc Kay and Paul Graham for making our first competitive season such a success. A big well done to all the anglers, both senior and junior, who took part in the League this year .... especially those for whom match fishing was a new venture. We hope you enjoyed the experience and perhaps learned a few new tactics or techniques.
Top 5 anglers from the league this year are:
1. Davy McCormick 2. John Rodgers 3. Davy Rogan 4. Al Marsden 5. Jonathan Kitson
