The NIFSA cod hunt concluded this week with the top spots going to
1/. Gareth Bell 38cm fish
2/. Paddy O'boyle 35cm fish
3/. Mike Henry 31cm fish
This competition took place over the last 3 moths a gives you an idea of how poor our cod fishing is in general. All anglers taking part put a lot of effort into the hunt but the bigger fish are just not there. What made up for this was the craic and banter and double bluffs of downright lies about caught bigger fish that did not need to be shown until the final day!😂
